Okay, we’re playing catch up here…Bear with us. This is more than you will want to know about our trip to the Galapagos Islands, but given the condensed, quick nature of our tour, we wanted to have a record of the places we went and the animals we saw.

Why is her skin so white? Her eyes so yellow? Her lips so orange? Is that her hair or a large dried bush that’s attacking her head?
We wanted to start from the beginning but couldn’t find it: A tale of competing equators.
As I turned to go, the woman grabbed me and said I hadn’t paid her yet. I protested that I had. We argued in Spanish. Other mango buyers eyed me uneasily.
So many things had to happen for me to be here, and the thought of how much of our existence is chance is overwhelming.
